George the chef/owner is a great guy always happy to stop what he’s doing and chat with guests. Plus he has great taste in music! His daughter Jane is a lovely server and the patio is warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and has a genuine home made feel. This is a place where you just feel at home. No pretense and a great, relaxed vibe. Highly recommended if your looking for a chill place to hang and eat in Leslieville.

This little gem of a restaurant in the Leslieville area of Toronto has it all. Great food, prices and atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by George and his merry staff that cant do enough make your visit the best one on Queen Street East. The food is fresh , exciting and plentiful. There are daily specials, which include fish, pasta and the FAMOUS PULLED PORK, this is to die for. There are local artists that display their wears on the walls that are for sale. This is a neighbourhood gem for eating, drinking and people watching. p.s. try the fresh homemade pizza

I started going to Leslie Jones a few years ago and I go often. The food is always fresh and beautifully prepared. The pulled pork and risotto are favourites. The wine list is a good mix of cheap & cheerful with really nice pricier choices. The service is always a nice combo friendly and professional. The back patio is fabulous in the summer. And they make tasty cocktails too.

Leslie Jones has been my go-to spot on Queen East for a year and a half. Small, cozy interior and excellent back patio cast beneath mature trees.
The owner is the in-house chef, dishing out a TRULY delicious menu from a very small/rustic, open-air kitchen…having view of the whole process adds a really neat/intimate flavour to the LJ experience. His wife bakes and delivers all the cakes and desserts for the place….carrot cake that cannot be beat!!
There’s a record player beside the kitchen area feeding out an eclectic and warm repertoire, from the Talking Heads to Bob Dylan. Service is always extremely pleasant and efficient; heads up that the chef is a one-man army, so if you’re in on a busy night (read: weekends), you can expect a longer wait on the food. Atmosphere is truly enjoyable however, the tunes, appetizers and signature drinks pass the time easily 🙂
